This is a gorgeous 12"x12" inlaid chess or checkers board, made of quilted maple and curly walnut, and inlaid in a solid black walnut slab.
The slab is very thick and heavy (about 3.5" thick, and roughly 18" long by 14 inches wide at the widest points. Live edges on the top and bottom are left intact, and the ends have the original rough cut saw marks.
All is finished with 2 treatings of linseed oil, giving it a nice and durable matte finish. If you'd like, we can add a top coat of either high gloss polyurethane or a coating of epoxy resin. Lead time for that would be an additional 1-2 weeks.
Set includes wooden checkers and chess pieces.
